About Colleen

I'm passionate about movement. It can be a tool for us to stay healthy and active, support healing, and when we find joy in moving- life shines a bit brighter.

Working with spinal cord injuries since 2006, I've focused much of my continuing education and learning around trauma and healing.

My hands on work in SCI exercise recovery facility deepend my desire to learn more. What was I feeling in my hands in regards to tone, spasticity? How do we organize and integrate the body when paralysis is present?

The body is more than muscles and bones and attachments- what about the organs and the nerves and the brain! In 2016 I dived into studying Visceral and Neural Manipulation through the Barral Institute.

My passion now is combining visceral and neural manipulation with a movement practice.

Maintaining a foundation of movement and self care has allowed me to find balance in each season of life - from my time as a professional dancer in my 30’s, to giving birth and raising two children, to most recently recovering from breast cancer and a double mastectomy.

Our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal, integrate , and learn after injury and trauma. Utilizing movement, breath work, and bodywork to support all stages of healing and integration is a powerful combination.
